I remember when my son, Jack, was about ten years old, I decided to sign both of us up for Piano lessons. I felt that having some musical talent would broaden his horizons. I also felt it would give me an excuse to learn how to play a musical instrument. I thought that I could sit right down and begin playing the piano like Beethoven, but I was in for a rude awakening. I was awful. My instructor would laugh at me as my left hand fingers tried, in vain, to play the notes independently of my right hand fingers. My brain just didn’t think that way. Generation Z, the generation following the Millennials, is the least Christian generation to date according to a recent Barna Group study. Many of today’s teens (especially those who claim to be Christian) are simply unprepared for the world that awaits them. Our culture is changing at a rapid pace and teenagers are confused both morally and spiritually. Morally, there is a new code that seems to be replacing the Bible as Absolute Truth. Since Scripture has been removed from both the Public schools and the Public marketplace, generations upon generations are evolving with no moral foundation.
